Corina Madreiter-Sokolowski

is a pharmacist and molecular biologist investigating mitochondrial function in aging and age-related diseases. She utilizes advanced fluorescence microscopy and molecular biology techniques to study ion fluxes, ROS homeostasis, metabolism, and cellular signalling in aging models using cell and animal models (mice, and
C. elegans. She has been honoured with several scientific awards for her outstanding contributions in this field and is currently leading four projects funded by the Austrian Science Fund FWF. Within TRPC.at she collaborates with
Sánchez-Murcia (photopharmacological TRP modulators), Schindl and Tiapko (patch-clamp techniques), and Olschewski/Nagaraj (human pulmonary cells).
